The New York office of TBWA\Chiat\Day has bolstered its management and creative ranks at the expense of Crispin Porter + Bogusky and Ogilvy & Mather.
Andy Nathan, an account director at Crispin in Boulder, Colo., will lead day-to-day operations and account management as managing director at TBWA\C\D, and Aaron Griffiths, an executive creative director at Ogilvy in New York, will steer creative efforts on Michelin and Vonage as a creative director.
The shop’s last managing director was Stephanie Retcho, who left for Kayak.com in January. Griffiths becomes the office’s sixth cd under chief creative officer Mark Figliulo, who’s also chairman. Nathan, 38, spent three years at Crispin, working on the shop’s Microsoft account and contributing to new business pitches, such as for MetLife and Bolthouse Farms. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bartle Bogle Hegarty and DDB.
In Griffiths' six years at Ogilvy and sister shop OgilvyOne, he worked on IBM, Lenovo, Kodak, Fanta and Yahoo. The 40-year-old's other brand experience—as a senior writer at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco—includes Hewlett-Packard, Saturn and Discover.
