ATLANTA Marketing Magic has won the Seabourn Cruise Line advertising account without a review, the agency said.

The independent shop in Hollywood, Fla., will provide all creative and media buying for Seabourn, the luxury brand of Miami-based cruise ship operator Carnival Corp. Tinsley Advertising, a Miami independent agency, was the incumbent.

Marketing Magic's first work for the company will launch next spring and consist primarily of print advertising in national magazines that cover the travel and leisure industries, said Richie Kahn, a partner in the agency and its creative director.

Kahn has worked on Carnival accounts at other shops in Florida, and recent Marketing Magic hires have added more category experience. The shop hired Christopher Cannon as co-creative director this summer. Cannon had been a group creative director at Harris Drury Cohen in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he worked on the Renaissance Cruises account.

Earlier this year, Marketing Magic produced a 17-minute sales video to help Cunard launch the Queen Mary 2 luxury liner.

Billings were not disclosed, but Seabourn, which operates three ships, spent $600,000 on advertising last year and $450,000 through September of this year, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
