RETURN OF THE GLOB The Touch-EFX Glob is back, and just in time for Converse's back-to-school marketing drive.

A combination live-action/claymation TV commercial opens with the gelatinous blue spokescreature giving a tutorial on the various types of globs.
The EFX Glob holds up a Converse Touch-EFX shoe while a voiceover explains that the sneaker’s color-changing liquid crystal pods are “cool.” However, other types of “globs,” such as spitballs and cafeteria food, are not, the voiceover says.
“If you’re gonna get globbed, make sure the globs you get are Touch-EFX globs from Converse. Glob on!” the narration concludes.
The 30-second spot was created by Houston Herstek Favat in Boston and was directed by Fred Stuhr of U Ground in Los Angeles.
