Hispanic marketing shop República has expanded its leadership team by adding executives in charge of client management and new business development.
Lisette Hoyo becomes evp of client services and Carlos Guzman, evp and chief marketing officer. In their new roles, they'll work closely with CEO Jorge Plasencia, president and chief creative officer Luis Casamayor and CFO Ofelia San Pedro.
República, an independent shop with about 70 staffers, is based in Miami and works for the likes of Pernod Ricard, Boehringer Ingelheim, BankUnited, Google and Target. Total revenue is estimated at $20 million.
Hoyo previously was president of Accentmarketing, a unit of Interpublic Group. She spent 14 years there. Earlier in her career, she worked for media companies like Gannett and Hearst.
Guzman also has media in his blood, having led sales, marketing and production of The Flyer, a shopper marketing publication produced by Harte-Hanks. His title there was president.
Beyond new business, Guzman will oversee media services, digital initiatives and corporate relations. Hoyo's client-focused role encompasses strategy, research, planning and communications.
