NEW YORK — Qwest Communications is putting its $100 million account up for review, sources said.

The Denver-based telecom, which currently splits its account between J. Walter Thompson, New York, and DDB, Chicago, sent out RFPs to five agencies last week.

Those agencies include the incumbents plus FCB, New York; Leo Burnett, Chicago; and possibly McCann-Erickson, New York, sources said. Qwest is expected to narrow the list to three by week’s end

A Qwest representative declined comment.
