Odiorne Wilde Narraway & Partners here has hired Keith McVaney from The Martin Agency to be the shop's first director of account planning. He begins work at OWN&P on May 4.
"The chance to join OWN&P was just too good to pass up," McVaney said. "They are a young, energetic and passionate group of people who fervently believe in their clients and their work."
As associate planning director at Richmond, Va.-based The Martin Agency, McVaney worked on such accounts as Timberland and Wrangler jeans. Prior to that, he spent three years at TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., as a senior account planner. He began his account planning career at Leagas Delaney's London office.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Keith's credentials join our group," said Wayne Buder, OWN&P president and partner. "The work he has been associated with is some of the most respected in the business."
McVaney will help shake the agency's reputation as a "creative boutique," Buder said.
McVaney joins Buder and media director Paula Mangin as an equity partner in the agency.
OWN&P's clients include Electronic Arts and R.H. Phillips winery.
