Olson has launched a multimedia campaign for Northwestern Mutual, an assignment the shop added as the year began.

“A foundation for life” is the tagline, and the TV, print and online push uses animated structural pillars to illustrate the strength, stability and permanence of the client’s life insurance offerings.

An effort was made to break from the more traditional lifestyle-driven approach that defines creative in the category.

“Rather than talk about the death benefit, Olson focused on the appealing qualities of permanent life insurance in a turbulent economy — the flexible and strong base it provides to reach life goals,” said Kevin DiLorenzo, agency CEO.
