Kohnke Hanneken in Milwaukee has been awarded national co-op marketing business from the Chicago-based YMCA of the USA, following a review.
The agency will offer a complete line of advertising, including media buying, to 2,200 Ys across the country, agency partner Denise Kohnke said. If a majority of Ys or associations buy into the ad program, the account is expected to total well more than $5 million in billings, she said.
Kohnke Hanneken has worked with Milwaukee-area Ys for seven years. Ad programs promote not only general Y memberships but individual programs such as day care. The Y uses the line, "We build strong kids, strong families and strong communities," a theme that is "articulated by our advertising," Kohnke said.
