NEW YORK — McKinney & Silver has bested New York shops J. Walter Thompson and Bouchez Kent + Co. to land Nasdaq’s $30 million account, sources said.

The account, which becomes one of McKinney’s largest, includes creative and media duties.

The decision came late Monday afternoon, following final presentations over two days last week at Nasdaq headquarters in New York. McKinney presented on Tuesday morning, followed by JWT that afternoon and Bouchez Kent on Wednesday.

The review was steered by Denise Benou Stires, Nasdaq’s evp of marketing, with help from Roth Associates, a search consultancy, here.
