Select Resources International is the consultancy managing Kohler’s creative review, which is in its early stages.The home fixtures company hopes to complete its search by March.
The brand's media spending totaled nearly $18 million last year, about the same as in 2009, according to Nielsen. The 2008 total exceeded $25 million. Those figures don't include online spending. The winner of the review will succeed longtime incumbent GSD&M, which is not defending. GSD&M has handled the business since 2000.
Media duties are not in play and remain at the Aegis Group’s Carat.
SRI, which is based in Santa Monica, Calif., knows Kohler from the company’s media review in 2008, which SRI also handled. Kohler’s headquarters is in Racine, Wisc.
