Hilton Unveils New Brand

Hilton has unveiled a new hotel brand, Home2Suites, which targets travelers looking for an apartment-like setup, according to AOL Travel.

The hotelier is trying to distinguish the brand with a modern lobby that doubles as a social hub to get consumers out of their rooms and mingling, per AOL.

The news comes around the same time as a Wall Street Journal report that Hilton Worldwide paid $75 million last year to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in settlement relating to a corporate-espionage lawsuit. The suit, filed by Starwood, accused Hilton officials of stealing confidential Starwood documents to develop a new boutique-style chain, the WSJ said.
