CHICAGO Health & Disability Advocates has selected Wirestone as its first lead agency following a review. Projected billings are $4 million.
The client is a national nonprofit organization leading a group of state health and human service agencies to develop a campaign about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. Employers are the target audience.
Wirestone's mission includes overall branding plus the development of an integrated marketing push that includes print, broadcast and digital elements. Research and media chores are also in the mix.
Client executive director Barbara Otto said of the agency's selection: "The creativity of their thinking on how we can achieve a needed sea change in the perception and hiring of workers with disabilities was truly a breath of fresh air."
Brian Addison, director of brand strategy at the shop, said the win is important because it gives the agency a chance to creatively drive measurable results for a high-profile client with a timely and important social message.
Independent Wirestone, also Chicago-based, maintains seven regional offices with 185 employees and also works for clients such as Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Nike, among others.
