Though the terms “global warming” and “climate change” are used interchangeably, a survey suggests the former resonates more strongly with consumers. In polling by The  Mellman Group for the American Security Project, 43 percent rated “global warming” as a “very serious” threat. When “climate change” was used instead, 39 percent called it a very serious threat. And while 46 percent strongly agreed that “global warming” is caused by human activities, 40 percent said the same about “climate change.”
