CHICAGO Gateway said it has placed its ad account in review. The business could be worth as much as $40 million, sources said.

The business is currently divided between Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett here, which handles consumer work, and Grey Global Group’s Grey in New York, which works on business-to-business efforts. Media is handled Publicis’ StarLink in Chicago. All of those agencies have been invited to defend, according to a representative of the Poway, Calif.

Burnett has been the company’s lead consumer agency since March 2003.
