DETROIT-The merger of two financial institutions has led to an unusual partnership between agencies Fitch Inc. in Ann Arbor, Mich., and LaRowe Advertising in Chicago.
The TV spots for bank holding company First Chicago NBD that broke last week in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana were the work of Fitch + LaRowe Advertising, an alliance formed to handle the one client.
NBD, formerly National Bank of Detroit, merged with First Chicago in late 1995. At that time, the bulk of the account was assigned to Ross Roy, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.,
