BOSTON Independent Duffy & Shanley in Providence, R.I., said it has been hired to generate consumer awareness of Peter Pan and Greyhound bus lines’ services in the Northeast, particularly in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

The shop will launch a fall campaign for the lines, which operate a pooling agreement governing their motor passenger and express operations in the region. Duffy is also handling media chores. The budget was not disclosed.

“Peter Pan and Greyhound have long provided quality services to travelers, and given current economic conditions it is the perfect time to focus on buses as an ideal means of transportation,” said Jon Duffy, agency president.
