Crispin Porter + Bogusky Taps Ralph Watson for CCO Role in Boulder

Part of the agency’s restructuring

Ralph Watson will start at CP+B in Boulder on April 30.

MDC Partners' Crispin Porter + Bogusky has named Ralph Watson chief creative officer for its Boulder office. His hire follows the departure of the agency’s worldwide CCO, Rob Reilly, in December and Crispin's announcement that its creative department would be restructured to have “increased autonomy” at its offices.

“Giving more autonomy to our creative leadership has really allowed our creative departments to gain momentum,” said CEO Andrew Keller in a statement. “Adding a creative chief officer specifically for Boulder will allow the Boulder creative department to maintain a vision and high standards for the work.”

Watson will be responsible for all of CP+B Boulder’s creative work. He’ll start on April 30 and report to Keller.

Most recently, Watson served as executive creative director for BBDO, where he worked on Bud Light. Before that, he oversaw Chevrolet for Goodby Silverstein & Partners in Detroit.

"I have always kept a really close eye on CP+B with a mixture of respect, admiration and at times almost hate,” said Watson in a statement. “They are creative, smart, honest and fearless … and do truly breakthrough, outrageously effective work. [And that] is something I am incredibly excited to be a part of."
