Crispin Porter + Bogusky named group creative director Tiffany Rolfe and Jason Gaboriau, previously a partner at Amalgamated in New York, co-executive creative directors of its Los Angeles office.
“Tiffany and Jason represent everything we look for when it comes to leadership,” said Rob Reilly, worldwide chief creative officer at the MDC Partners-owned agency. “Tons of talent. Zero ego. And a relentless desire to change culture and make our brand partners famous.”
Rolfe has been working at the agency, first in Miami and later in Boulder, Colo., since 2002. She has handled a variety of the agency’s accounts, including Mini, the anti-smoking “Truth” campaign, Burger King, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Volkswagen, Pink by Victoria’s Secret and American Express Open.
“Being part of CP+B’s growth for the last nine years has been amazing. I’m grateful and excited to continue that growth with the build out in LA,” said Rolfe. “As we’ve added new offices around the world, we’ve expanded our creative model and capabilities. L.A. will push that even further.”
Gaboriau joins CP+B after leaving Amalgamated, the New York agency he co-founded. There, he worked as CCO for clients including Ben & Jerry’s, Coca-Cola, New Belgium Brewery and Svedka vodka.
“I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to work for one of the most creative agencies in the world,” said Gaboriau. “I love the work and have always been impressed with CP+B’s culture of ‘yes.’ But what really blew me away were their capabilities outside of traditional advertising. While other agencies are trying to figure out how to incorporate the digital agencies they bought, CP+B has it already figured out.”
This is CP+B’s second attempt to establish a full-service agency in Los Angeles. This time, the West Coast office will handle Old Navy, Bolthouse Farms’ Baby Carrots and some Microsoft business.
The agency first expanded outside of its Miami headquarters in 2001, when it opened an outpost in Los Angeles and named Sally Hogshead creative director. She was later replaced by Tim Roper, who is now based in Boulder. The agency opened its Boulder co-headquarters in 2006.
