NEW YORK - The team that will plan and place Chrysler's media in the future gained some bench strength last week when PentaCom snagged two high-level Detroit media execs and reached out to the West Coast for a third. Joseph Caponigro, formerly director of media services at BBDO/Detroit, will handle day-to-day responsibilities on the Dodge Division; Mark Stanley, formerly vp/media director at Bozell/Southfield, Mich., will be in charge of the Chrysler/Plymouth Division; and Lee Wilson Jr., formerly media director at Vic Olesen & Partners/L.A., will head up the Jeep-Eagle Division. All three will have the title of senior vp/director of planning at PentaCom, the BBDO unit established to handle Chrysler's $400-million media account.
