Coupons have made a comeback. A clear indication of this was a reported 120 percent increase in the dollar amounts of coupons downloaded last month at Coupons.com. Consumers downloaded $39 million worth of coupons compared to $21 million in February 2008.
The publisher network, which carries offers from Kraft Foods, Clorox, Kimberly-Clark and others, reaches 75 million consumers via Coupons.com and other Web sites. Of this population, the Mid-Atlantic region proved to be the heaviest user of coupons followed by the East and North Central areas of the country.
