Digital media veteran Greg March has been named the chief digital officer at Ikon3.
March spend the last seven years running digital media for Wieden + Kennedy, where he worked with traditional brands such as ABC and Starter. He’s joining Ikon3 as it gradually builds out its New York presence; the creative-driven shop arrived in the States in 2010, sharing office space and resources with Droga5.
Ikon3 has strong roots in Australia and New Zealand (The U.S. represents the third continent the company is looking to conquer, hence the “3”).
“I wanted to go to a place that’s about doing great advertising, not just that gets a certain performance,” March said. “Technology is great, and data and those things are important, but we really want to do work that people talk about and gets people thinking.”
Current Ikon3 clients include Honest Tea and USA Today, along with some project work.
