Amana Home Appliances is quietly contacting agencies regarding its $3-5 million advertising account, according to sources.
The Amana, Iowa-based company declined to comment, but shops in the Midwest and Southwest have received inquiries, sources said.
A consultant is not involved.
The appliance maker’s account was last handled by Ingalls Advertising in Boston, but fell inactive when the company’s Lexington, Mass.-based parent, Raytheon Co., sold the home appliance and heating and air conditioning segments to privately held Goodman Holding Co.
