In an effort to build a digital search practice, San Francisco independent Eleven has hired Lisa Bari, the director of client services at AKQA Search. Bari is joining Eleven as director of search marketing, a new position at the agency.
In June, Virgin America expanded its relationship with Eleven, naming it the airline’s media agency of record. Eleven added responsibilities for activities like planning and buying for digital, search, and emerging media. Bari will now be responsible for search marketing for Virgin America and additionally lead Eleven’s search marketing business development efforts.
In addition to AKQA, Bari has worked as a senior account director at San Diego search marketing company Covario. During her career she has worked on brands like Adobe Systems, Clorox, and PetSmart.
In addition to Virgin America, Eleven works for clients like AAA, Apple, Coinstar, Eaton Vance, Proactiv, Sun Valley Resort, and Visa.
