Tulsa Cartoonist Accused Of Plagiarism For The Third Time
David Simpson, political cartoonist at the Urban Tulsa Weekly, has now been accused of plagiarizing cartoons two weeks in a row.
First, a cartoon about a local Oklahoma issue bore eerie resemblance to an old Jeff MacNelly cartoon about Jimmy Carter’s re-election…..
Then, this week, a cartoon about the Oklahoma water resources board looks a lot like a MacNelly cartoon satirizing the U.S. involvement in Bosnia.
In 2006, Simpson was let go from the Tulsa World after he had
