Now that over two months have passed since the burning down of Rem KoolhaasTVCC and Mandarin Oriental hotel in Beijing, the findings of the investigations into what caused the 31-story building to go up in flames, resulting in a lost of hundreds of billions of dollars, are being released. Architectural Record reports on the developing story, with the verdict still heavily weighing as the fault of employees of the adjoining, now-iconic CCTV Tower, who were setting off fireworks almost directly at the hotel and that the sprinkler system had yet to be installed.
