Press-Telegram Moves After 81 Years
This weekend, the Long Beach Press-Telegram will move from its historic digs on Pine Avenue to a glass office tower on Ocean Boulevard.
“You could actually feel the paper being printed as the presses rumbled below us,” Executive Editor Rich Archbold, told an LAT reporter touring the second-floor newsroom, which vibrated every evening until the printing operation moved to Valencia in 1998.
