Post Unveils New Web Site

postsite.jpgWe’ve always found The New York Post‘s Web site distracting, difficult to navigate and hard to read — quite the opposite of the print version.

But this week, the Post is sporting a new online look at that’s cleaner and less cluttered. There’s still a lot going on — from headlines to Page Six to pictures and events — but we’re kind of enjoying the new layout. (Until we clicked over to Page Six and a “Melrose Place” ad took over.)

Could this revamp be part of owner Rupert Murdoch’s plan to charge for content in the coming months? Or is this another instance of a local paper trying something new? Either way, even with these changes, Murdoch’s going to get some pushback from readers if he tries to charge for in our poll last month, 88 percent of you said you wouldn’t pay for access to the site.
