Guardian Editor Takes a 'Bite of the Apple'

Paul Owen's first NYC postcard is a winner.

Paul Owen recently moved from London to NYC. In the first of his planned “monthly postcards from New York” for a column he has christened “Bite of the Apple,” the Guardian editor ponders three topics: the ultra-rich compound at 432 Park Avenue, the equally tony Hamptons and the gaping void created by that terrible East Village gas explosion.

What’s arguably most relevant here is not so much the contents of the debut column but rather reactions to it from the newspaper’s UK and international readers.
