New York Mets GM Collapses in Front of Reporters
A brief scare during today's Terry Collins contract extension press conference.
Per a report by Star-Ledger Mets beat writer Mike Vorkunov, a combination of no breakfast, lack of water and warm TV camera lights conspired to produce a fainting spell for New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson. Alderson was meeting with reporters as part of a press conference formally announcing manager Terry Collins’ contract extension:
Alderson fainted after about a dozen minutes standing up talking to reporters, following about 40 minutes of speaking before that.
