Magazine Publishers Association Gets A New Name, Logo
The Magazine Publishers Association (MPA) is going through an image overhaul, introducing a new name, tagline and logo effective October 4th. From then on, in a move that mirrors that of NPR (now no longer “National Public Radio”), the trade group will be simply known as “MPA” — The Association of Magazine Media, thus dropping the word “publishers” from its tagline. The reason? According to the organization itself, “MPA is underscoring the fact that magazine media content engages consumers across multiple platforms, including websites, tablets, smartphones, books, live events and more.”
