I am writing this from the FishbowlLA mothership, the mediabistro.com office in Manhattan. For all of you in Los Angeles, here’s how to pretend you are in New York.
1)Call three hundred people you know. Tell them to meet you at the Los Angeles subway stop of your choice.
2)Get in a subway car and ask your 300 friends to join you.
Presto! You’re in New York. (For increased verisimilitude, ask your 300 friends to forego showering the day before conducting this exercise.)
