Hartford Courant's Head Of Content Leaves After 18 Months

Jeffrey Levine came to the Hartford Courant and Fox CT in May 2009. Yesterday, his position was eliminated and he left the company, the Courant reports.

His job, according to an unbylined article on the Hartford Advocate, was to combine the newsrooms of the TV station and the paper and make one “news-gathering operation that can do print, TV and online news with equal ease — and for maximum profitability.”

Yesterday, when announcing Levine’s departure, Courant publisher Richard Graziano issued a statement that said:
“The past year has brought extraordinary change to our company and we continue our proactive strategy of looking for efficiencies, moving with deliberate speed and prompt decision-making.
