Tomorrow, inside The Hartford Courant and at all regular pick-up spots, residents of Hartford, New Haven and Fairfield County will be greeted by a different newspaper animal. Instead of the respective Advocate and Weekly papers in those three communities, there will be stacked the launch issue of CTNow, which combines all three previous papers into one.
From the recent advisory note by group managing editor John Adamian:
Just as you’ve leaned on the Advocates over the years, we’re confident CTNow will still be the place you go to find out what live shows to go catch, what restaurants to check out, what art openings to get to and which theater events not to miss…
We’ll also continue our popular annual Readers’ Poll (The Best of Hartford/New Haven/Fairfield County) and our dining guides and fall arts coverage.
Adamian has been a staffer at the morphing Hartford Advocate for 11 years. He’s probably quietly very thankful that there remains one alt-weekly in print form moving forward from that publication and the New Haven Advocate and Fairfield County Weekly.
