Gehry Gets Into the Lucrative World of Playground Design

Likely someplace he won’t want to wear his new t-shirt, the AP is reporting that Frank Gehry has been pegged to create his very first playground in Battery Park in Manhattan. It was announced late last night during a benefit hosted to raise money for the Battery Conservancy. And money, they’ll need, as the park is expected to cost about $4 million. For that price, we’re guessing that it’ll probably be better than the one we used to play on in the park across the street.
