ESPN The Mag Still Batting 1.000 on Ridiculous Celebrity Interviews

ESPN The Magazine and its Web site will run literally anything editors think might help sell issues and build buzz.

The latest fluff piece with a tenuous (at best) connection to sports: An interview with the world’s most popular rapper Lil Wayne.

The hook, it seems, is that a lot of Major League Baseball players use his songs as their at-bat music — even though Wayne admits he’s never actually been to a game, rendering the question “What does it feel like to hear your music in stadiums?” somewhat moot.
