Entrepreneur Magazine 'Hot' List Leaves Some Readers Cold
Folks in Salt Lake City are jazzed; people in Austin and St. Louis, not so much.
Entrepreneur magazine’s “9 Hot Startup Cities That Aren’t New York or San Francisco” is a very loosely compiled rundown. There’s no scientific methodology outlined, for a feature that is by no means claiming to be all-inclusive.
What’s more, only the first three cities on the list are numerically ranked (1-2-3), with the rest presumably standing as equal runner’s ups. The Sacramento Business Journal ignored this Entrepreneur format, adding in numbers at their end to the list and tagging their central California city as #6.
