Editor & Publisher has tapped Mediaspan, a digital content management company, to help improve the magazine’s website and increase its traffic. According to a press release, the changes will be focused on achieving better organization of the website’s vast archives, and allowing staff to concentrate on content, rather than upkeep. Mediaspan currently counts other media giants like Sun Media and Gannett among its clients.
Adam Tessin, Technology Director for the magazine’s site, said of working with Mediaspan, “We are confident it will not only improve the appearance and functionality of our publications, but also increase the productivity of our staff.”
Some additions expected include more photographs, a New York Stock Exchange ticker and obituaries in the Newspeople section. Obituaries in a journal covering the newspaper industry is pretty fitting, if you ask us.
