D Magazine Is Fed Up With Your Moving And/Or Shaking
D magazine, which covers the Dallas Fort Worth area, has filed a lawsuit against Allen, Texas-based D Moving for copyright infringement. Apparently, the moving company’s logo — a white D set against a red background — is incredibly similar (As in, well. Identical.) to the magazine’s own. Folio: has images of both the magazine and the moving company’s truck so you can compare the logos for yourself.
And it would appear this isn’t the first time the moving company has been charged with “creatively borrowing” copyrighted property — the company’s owner was slapped with a similar lawsuit by Major League Baseball because his former moving service was called… Major League Moving.
