Amy Pyle Named Editor of Center for Investigative Reporting

A well-deserved promotion.

apyle_200The Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) has named Amy Pyle its new editor in chief. She most recently served as CIR’s managing editor. Pyle has been with CIR since 2012.

“The nationwide search for our new editor in chief has allowed us to reflect on the core mission of CIR to do critical investigative reporting and our imperative to engage diverse new audiences with beautifully told stories that improve—and even save—lives,” said CIR CEO Joaquin Alvarado, in a statement. “Amy’s experience, leadership and demonstrated success stood out and position us to continue to innovate with partners on journalism that makes a difference.”
