Americans Spend More Than 8 Hours Per Day Consuming Media

Can you just tweet that thought?

Screen Shot 2015-06-01 at 10.57.45 AMAccording to a new study by ZenithOptimedia, we’d all rather read tweets about what our friends think than actually see them in person and hear them say words. The report found that on average, Americans spend more than eight hours per day consuming media.

Television remains Americans’ favorite, taking up about three hours per day. The Internet is a close second, accounting for two hours of media consumption per day.

When looking at how media consumption has changed over the past five years, the Internet has obviously exploded, jumping by 105 percent.

Newspapers are another story (hilarious pun intended).
