It was exciting enough to hear that the Young Architects Forum, a competition by the Architectural League that identifies new talent, was celebrating 25 years. But then we stumbled across this little factoid embedded into the press release:
Additionally, there is a special online gallery of the call for entries and winners’ posters from the past twenty five years, all designed by Michael Bierut.
All of them? Who gets asked to design a poster for anything twice–much less 25 times?
Take 25 minutes and reflect on 25 posters by Bierut, a design evolution which takes you from the un-Mac-ness of the early 80’s to the typographic gymnastics of the new millenium. It’s like watching “This Is Your Life, Michael Bierut.” Oh, wait, that’s next month.
(The site itself ain’t too shabby, either, designed by blank, mosseri.)
