10,000 Words gets a redesign/ Twitter Updates

There’s nothing like a good evisceration to spur creativity. After Friday’s font post hit the front page of Digg, it confirmed for me what I had been thinking for a while: 10,000 Words needed a redesign.

The old design was a colorful nod to the “Web 2.0 look” (I know that Web 2.0 is not a design concept), but I eventually realized it didn’t complement the tone of the blog. As I’ve said before, the hardest person to design for is oneself, but it took a good kick in the rear to finally buckle down and crack open the Photoshop.
