Last week we took a look at the social standing of the DC publications and Washington-based national anchors. Now it’s time to turn our attention to local television. FishbowlDC took a look at the Twitter followers of DC’s local TV stations as well as some of the top anchors in our market. Here’s what we found:

The takeaway: NBC 4 is by far the most socially engaged of the local stations -both in terms of the station’s brand and in terms of their anchors’. Almost all the local NBC anchors are highly active on Twitter, with weekend anchor Angie Goff and chief meteorologist* Doug Kammerer far outshining their colleagues and their competitors. CBS 9 weekend anchor Bruce Johnson also makes a strong showing. Together, the top 3 on the list have almost as many followers as the next 12 combined.
