WaPo‘s “Reliable Source” column Tuesday was late. At 2:02 p.m., they published the news that Chris Matthews’ in-law was busted for having nearly 5,000 pounds of pot on his sailboat. The Cape Cod Times broke the story — FBDC isn’t seeking credit.
But this item was filed under the category of “This just in.” That’s catchy, and would be right if they wrote, “This Just In Four Hours Ago” or “This Just In a Day Ago.”
