If you’re looking to escape the midterm mayhem, why not take some time to get in touch with your creative side?  That’s what Michael Clements, Washington Life‘s executive editor will be doing this week.  Clements, who founded Genki Media has created a new production called ArtJamz to help Washingtonians release their inner artist for a fun night out.  For just about $60.00, Art Jammers receive a canvas on an easel, paint and materials,  wine and soft drinks, hors d’œuvres, music, and four hours to create an original work of art to take home.

“Our ArtJamz Sessions were started both as a reaction to the lack of participation at events, art openings, and general entertainment in Washington D.C. and a belief that everyone (even in DC) has a creative side somewhere deep down,” Clements told FishbowlDC.

Clements and the ArtJamz crew will be hosting sessions at the Loree Grand at Union Place all week but act quick, they’ve been known to sell out.  More about ArtJamz here or reserve your spot here.
