Discovery Communications Executives Leave

From the NYT:

The departure of two of the most senior executives at Discovery Communications reflects an effort by the new chief executive, David M. Zaslav, to play a more hands-on role in running the company’s core cable TV channels.

As part of a management overhaul announced yesterday, the heads of the company’s main channels — including the Discovery Channel, TLC, Discovery Travel, Discovery Health and Animal Planet — will now report to Mr. Zaslav, a former NBC Universal executive who joined the company in December.
