Daley Wasn't Always Interested

William Daley doesn’t exactly play hard to get.

As recently as late September of last year, he told The Hill that wasn’t interested in replacing Rahm Emanuel as White House chief of staff. Of course this is typical Washington speak where no doesn’t often mean no in the true definition of the word.

Excerpt:

Asked by The Hill if he is interested in succeeding Emanuel, Daley replied, “No.” Pressed on the issue, Daley laughingly said no and walked away.
