At the other end of the stainless steel kitchen scale, there are a half-dozen folks who just squeaked in at age 29, including Mezze executive chef and partner Micah Wexler as well as Bradley Watkins (pictured). The latter has the best title of all honorees; he’s the cheese monger at Wally’s Cheese Box in Westwood. As Zagat contributor Merrill Shindler points out:
Note how many began working in food and hospitality in their teens–what we have here isn’t so much a career as a calling.
