Rodale has announced that Laura Frerer-Schmidt has been named Publisher of Women’s Health. Frerer-Schmidt was most recently Associate Publisher of Self. At Women’s Health, she will be tasked with leading all advertising sales and will oversee marketing efforts related to the title.
Mary Murcko, Rodale’s Executive Vice President, Group Publisher, said Frerer-Schmidt will bring a wealth of knowledge to Women’s Health. “Laura has an outstanding record of achievement across all platforms – digital, print, events and licensed products, explained Murcko. “She is a true brand strategist with experience in launching alternative revenue streams that utilize marketing services and mobile applications. Her skills coincide perfectly with the brand’s next phase of aggressive growth, after five impressive years as one of the fastest-growing titles in our industry and worldwide.”
Frerer-Schmidt’s first day will be September 6.
