Good fun for a good cause.

As part of a new editorial and marketing brand collaboration with sister publication Domino, Rodale’s Women’s Health held its first “Well-thy” House event on Saturday at the Montauk home of Women’s Health vp and publisher Laura Frerer-Schmidt. The event was a kickoff to the magazine’s Run10 FEED10 10K races in New York, Chicago and San Francisco (plus, fun runs in other major cities) to benefit the FEED Foundation and its mission to fight hunger in America and abroad.

Journalists, bloggers and VIPs in attendance started the hot summer day with a rooftop yoga workout led by fitness and wellness expert Mandy Ingber, who counts Jennifer Aniston as a client and whose book Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover is a New York Times best seller.

The second session was a poolside presentation from Women’s Health contributor and celebrity nutritionist Keri Glassman on the right way to do a body cleanse (we were happy to hear she endorses chewing, not only drinking, your nutrients).

This led to another, more rigorous, workout with trainer Heidi Powell of ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss, followed by a discussion on the healthful qualities of culinary herbs from horticulturist Jeff Dawson and a food demonstration from farm-to-table chef Greg Frey Jr. The afternoon was capped with a presentation on creating a healthy “homespace” — the Domino connection — from photographer, filmmaker and MindSpaceDesign founder James Houston.

That evening, everyone headed to the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club for the 4th annual Party Under the Stars to mingle with the likes of actresses Molly Simms, Rosario Dawson and Laura Prepon; Good Morning America chief meteorologist Ginger Zee; Bachelorette alum Andi Dorfman; and FEED founder and CEO Lauren Bush Lauren.

Guests also participated in a silent auction for FEED and enjoyed a beachside bonfire, complete with s’mores, beneath the tangerine full moon. Music was provided by a live reggae band and guest DJ Taryn Manning of Orange Is the New Black. It was quite the active — and memorable — day in the Hamptons.
